about

Tulsa, OK's Scatter Girls! is comprised of local artists and musicians/performers, Olivia Woodall, Natty Gray, and Noah Beal. The band began under a few other names before finally arriving at Scatter Girls! (thank you, Rainbeaux!). Starting as Folsom Point (by accident, really, thanks to Solbakk), then Sinus Pressure, then Safety Patrol, then Canker Sore, and finally, Scatter Girls!. Scatter Girls! was initially a more noisecore/noise leaning project that mostly just performed live in the Folsom Point and Sinus Pressure era of the band. Around the time of Safety Patrol and Canker Sore, the Scatter Girls! troupe began moving more in the direction of a cohesive noise rock sound, though still mostly improvised. This self-titled 7" is a byproduct of a more thoughtful, evolved noise rock style of Scatter Girls!

Listeners will find a variety of sounds and influences on this album. Hardcore, punk, experimental, alternative, and metal all collide, taking on a particularly noisy, rockish sound. Songs are short and mostly very upbeat, not demanding severe attention from the audience. The release soars by without much respite until the very end. Self-described as "party music", this makes sense that Scatter Girls!' sound would be this way. The sonic embodiment of house and noise shows.
